Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient method of quickly cleaning up mess. The best robot vacuums and mops I’ve tested are top-quality in navigation and mapping as well as the ability to remove Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds, without leaving them behind.
They’re also simple to use with an app that lets you plan cleaning tasks and see what they’re up to.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you’re looking for the top robot vacuum and mop with bleeding-edge features, consider the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile, and it picked up human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek app interface with a mini map of your home and a few buttons on the screen to control the device manually.
Another noteworthy feature is the S8’s ability to change its cleaning mode according to the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get priority for mopping using a damp mopping pad.
The mop roller has a number of other smart features, including a dock that can be connected to your home plumbing system to clean and wash it without you having to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8, you can use voice commands to control rooms cleaning options and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking a hands free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It’s part of a litany of robot vacuums with mops, however it’s priced at a lower cost than many of the competitors.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get started. This includes setting up an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that’s done, though the robot can begin mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It’s important to note that mapping takes quite a while and may require a few attempts before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate view of your space. Additionally the object detection is hit or miss It was able to get around furniture and other obstacles but was stuck on a looser tassel and had to turn itself over to free itself. But these are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who want an all-in-one cleaning companion.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its mopping technology is advanced and features a rotating motion similar to hand scrubbing, which results in floors that are truly cleaned, not just being swept. The detachable stick vacuum is a game changer that enables you to get into places that robotic vacuums aren’t able to reach.
This model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and some additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor can learn your home better and offer dynamic obstacle avoidance. The smart app lets you adjust a variety of settings that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each task to clean their pads and empty the dust bins, and place debris in a self sealing bag. This keeps the system clean and stops allergens from circulating. And its battery life is long enough to cover large areas without needing a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the premium robot vacuum and mop models that are available, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotating floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also has an unique mopping method which uses a rolling device that is continuously spraying with water to collect dirt and then deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing. It was unable to handle fine particles and didn’t always clear the thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also quite high, and it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than other models.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to the regular schedule. You can control all of its functions using the Eufy app, which gives an easy overview and lots of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums/mowers available, and it offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles, and other obstacles with reasonable precision. automated vacuum allows users to fine-tune the map coverage, set up no-go zones, and even modify their cleaning preferences. The Freo’s roller brush was designed to prevent hair from wrapping itself around it. This is an issue with a lot of robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too, with Reuleaux triangular mops that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system incorporates smart carpet detectors, which lift these pads up when they’re near soft surfaces in order to avoid contamination.
The docking station functions as a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dries the mops, and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station comes with an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust, which allows for 7 weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
This robot is a few hundred dollars less than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my office clean. It is also able to reach the corners of my small apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to build an image of your space which allows it to know where to stay away from. In addition, unlike other vacuums that can mop it also has detection of objects and obstructions that avoids items such as bowls and dog toys (but not poop!).
It also has some outstanding standout features, including an automatic emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that is able to reach areas other mops miss. You can also customize the settings for each room, and set up cleaning schedules.
Similar to the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping and can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. It can also avoid mopping rooms that are not clean if you want to save time. It’s a great choice when you have a mix of flooring in your home but do not want to invest the money to buy Roborock. Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice to consider if you’re looking for a versatile robot that can perform regular maintenance on a daily basis as well as touch-ups to messy water stains. It comes with a wide range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, and adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It is surprisingly quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. However, it isn’t able to pick up knotted rug tassels and its battery drains a little faster than other models in our tests.
With a price tag of less than $250 it’s the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and handy automation into a sleek design. It wasn’t as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it performed well. It also comes with a range of cleaning modes to suit your needs, from the low-power ‘Quiet’ option for debris that is light to the more powerful ‘Turbo’ mode for rooms with carpet. It can even be programmed to remove and reconnect its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great mop and robot vacuum for those who live in small spaces. It’s extremely fast and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces with ease. It also does a very excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It’s smaller than many of its competitors, but doesn’t sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be configured to take pictures of every object it finds (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as ‘not located’, so that they will not be taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and not tied to you account.
It does a great job of vaccuming but isn’t quite as efficient at mopping. It makes use of disposable wipes that are clipped to the bot’s bottom and drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
